How large is your network of academic experts?

  • Our database, which is growing daily, includes more than 100,000 academics from all over the world in a wide array of disciplines. This database is complemented by an extensive network of personal connections with thought leaders at many of the world's top universities.

How do you ensure quality?

  • Our proprietary search technology will find the academics best-qualified to answer your request based on their publications. We contact them to verify their credentials as well as their availability and the absence of conflicts of interest.
  • At the end of the engagement, each party evaluates the other via a feedback system.

How do you ensure confidentiality?

  • Our standard contract includes a Non-Disclosure Agreement. If required, and preferably for larger projects, additional arrangements can be made.
  • Thanks to our proprietary search technology, we only disclose information about your request to a limited number of highly relevant experts. We will never share information about you without your permission.

Why do you focus on a limited number of Expertise Areas?

  • Our proprietary search technology is currently optimized for the listed Expertise Areas, but we are developing other areas as well.

What if my request doesn't fit FreshExperts' current Expertise Areas?

  • Please contact us as it is likely that we will be able to serve your needs. We welcome your input on where to focus our development.

How does FreshExperts earn revenue?

  • Under our Pay As You Go model, FreshExperts charges a commission based on the total value of the project. This sum is included in our price. We also offer a Fixed Fee contract which may be more appropriate for large scope, long-term engagements.

I am an academic. How do I enrol?

  • Please use the contact form to add your email to our database. You will receive an email if we have client requests for you or need your help in completing your profile.

When did FreshExperts start and where are you based?

  • FreshExperts was founded in 2009 in Boston, MA, USA by a team of current and past researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Oxford University (UK) and Ecole Normale Superieure de Paris (France). Check out our About us page to find out more.
